The best time we ever had. The best was a 6 o’clock wake up, down to the harbour, onto the fishing gullet and then…total peace and tranquillity as the sun rose over a mirror sea. Sadly, only one fish, but what a way to start the day.

The villas are….perfect.

I am in the hectic world of fashion and my stay at Kalkan Mountain Villas was just what I needed to chill out from a busy life. “Wow” is not the word. We were totally amazed by the style and architecture of the villa. We made a few lovely trips into Kalkan, to stock up at the supermarket and to eat in the restaurants… Aubergine was my favourite…. but mainly we loved just lazing by the pool and listening to the silence.

Thank you to Ugur and the Ahmets for all their help and hospitality.

We stayed for 14 nights at this villa during September/October and had the most amazing time!

We will never forget when we first entered this magical property! It’s contemporary very comfortable, extremely spacious and very well equipped.

‘Basically its 100% pure luxury!’

It is positioned on a hillside which allows for the most breath taking views and sun sets you simply never tire of.

Whether you go to Patara for the endless sand….visit Salikent Gorge which is stunning…enjoy the rooftop restaurant experience in nearby Kalkan….or simply make the most of the fantastic patio area and pool at the villa….I can guarantee you will not want to go home….Well we didn’t!

Patara beach was our favourite trip. We would throw all the beach stuff into the boot, drive down to the beach and just laze all day. Even the little café on the beach was quite unexpected. We tried to walk the length of Patara but gave up after an hour, by which time the sun was getting lower and it was time to head back to KMV. Kevin crawled all over the ancient ruins of the City of Patara. It’s amazing that you can sit in the amphitheatre with no tourists around.

This was our first trip to Turkey but we are coming back.

We returned to Kalkan Mountain Villas just four months after our first visit in June. Breath taking, heaven on earth does exist, Vila Jasmine is pure perfection in every way, 25 degrees in October – it’s just amazing.

We had such a relaxing and enjoyable time. The villa was so comfortable, light and airy and the infinity pool was great fun. What an amazing sunset! Definitely the best family holiday we have ever had. Ahmet was really kind and helpful with some great card tricks up his sleeve. Devrim made us feel extremely welcome when we arrived and sorted out some great day trips for us.

Thanks a million.

Even though we arrived late at night Ahmet was there to welcome us and show us round. It was only then in the morning we first saw the stunning views from the location this villa is set in. Villa Lavender itself has the wow factor, I have stayed in a few villas over the years but none compare to this. It is very well equipped and tastefully furnished. You could easily stay there with friends and not feel on top of each other. Each bedroom has its own bathroom.

Ahmet and Devrim are very helpful and respond quickly to any requests and both speak good English. The villas is in a nice peaceful location and can't help but make you relax. When you drive through the local villages on your way to the villa you get to see the real Turkey, but are only a matter of minutes from the centre of Kalkan and Patara beach.

Kalkan itself has lots of great restaurants and shops; there are also some great restaurants closer to the villa, especially at the trout farms in Islamlar which is only 2 minutes’ drive.

I would also recommend booking a private boat trip, which Dervim can arrange for you.

A great holiday and would love to stay there again!

We visited at the last minute in October, as I walked in to the villa, it actually made me cry (stupid I know) people like us don’t come to places like this, it was like a film set, it was just amazing, brand new, of the highest quality, the weather was still warm, I cannot wait to go back.

We stayed at Villa Lavender in June this year and I can honestly say we were blown away by everything! The views are simply spectacular! The furnishings and décor are spot on, and the infinity pool is wonderful! We found all of the local restaurants to have amazing local foods, whilst the harbour restaurants had something for everyone...and very good cocktails! All waiters etc were very friendly and loved the children, even helping to look after our baby while we ate! Ahmet, the site manager was brilliant. Always around to help with anything from booking tables at restaurants, getting us fresh bread etc and arranging our airport runs. The owners of the villa were also very helpful and accommodating and gave us loads of tips of where to go and see etc! We can't recommend Villa lavender enough! We loved every moment...just a shame we were only there for a week, next time it will be for two!

We were fortunate enough to stay at Villa Lavender at Kalkan Mountain Villas in October 2013. The weather was beautiful and still shorts & T shirt temperature even at the end of the season. The villa is exceedingly spacious and beautifully and tastefully furnished with absolutely everything we needed. The views of the mountains and Patara Beach are simply breath-taking. The infinity pool is wonderfully inviting and the loungers and poolside eating areas give a choice of relaxing or eating in the sun or the shade. The caretaker Ahmed is wonderfully attentive and happily booked our restaurants, taxis and even our day trip on a traditional boat trip around the beautifully rugged local coastline. The mountain restaurants are rustic and quaint with fantastic local homemade food and the harbourside restaurants serve great food at very reasonable prices. If you are looking for a totally relaxing holiday in a superb location then you can’t go wrong with Villa Lavender. AAAAA******

I don't often take the time to write holiday reviews but on this occasion, the wonderful memories afforded by our stay at Villa Lavender, left me with little or no choice in the matter. Six of us made the journey to take up residence at the Villa and after a delayed flight we arrived rather travel weary. However, all thoughts of fatigue disappear as soon as the key opens the door of what, from the outside, appears to be a rather up market bungalow. In front of you, Marble floors and two-storey windows boasting views of the plains of Patara and Patara Beach in the distance take the breath away and give both the property and that first moment, the elusive 'wow' factor that stays in the memory long after the holiday is over. The property is arranged over three floors and is extremely well appointed with top notch fixtures and fittings but it also feels comfortable and homely, inviting you to while away the time chatting, reading, eating, swimming, dozing and just, well, chilling out really. After a while and with only a slight suspension of disbelief, it's not that difficult to imagine that this really is 'your' Villa, a feeling that makes it that much harder to leave when the holiday is finally over. The website and other reviews can tell you (and rightly so) about the great mountain restaurants to visit nearby, the classy cafes and bijou shops in Kalkan and Kas, the excellent beach at Patara and the welcoming, friendly and helpful Turkish people themselves. For myself, the abiding memory is of my regular visit to the Turkish barber down in the town. Where else can you get an expert shave with a cutthroat razor, face moisturised and lotioned, ears/nose and eyebrows trimmed with (amongst other implements) a flaming swizzle stick , a head, shoulder, arm and finger massage and a free (non alcoholic) beverage of your choice; all for the princely sum of ?3.00! For that experience alone, I'd make a point of coming back! At the end of the day, a great holiday is a shared holiday and this Villa, in this place, gave us a holiday experience that we'll talk about for years to come. I have no hesitation in giving it my heartiest recommendation.

Thank you soooo much we truly had a fabulous holiday. Where do I start the villa was amazing, very high spec, everything one would need and more, fantastic views, great pool and outside areas,it met all our expectations and more. The minute we walked in it was OMG. It defiantly has the wow factor. This I must point out is no mean task for us as we have stayed in some very good five star hotels around the world particularly in Dubai so we were delighted. The meet and greet service was excellent and the staff were very helpful from start to finish nothing was too much trouble for them. They even cleaned our car for us after we got some tarmac on it from a newly tarmaced road, very impressive. We loved Kalkan a very charming resort with lovely people. The teenagers had an amazing time partying all night long in mojitos and club chocolate. We had some great food in lots of different restaurants my favourite was Sade but there is still lots I would love to try.The boat trip was very good with Farti a great day out and very reasonably priced. We loved Patara village and its very laid back atmosphere we overdosed a few times on the pancakes at Ayshas very authentic. The villa is a bit out of it but don't be put of by this it is fantastic in the mountains you really do get to see the real Turkey. A 20 minute car drive gets you down to the main resort but it is so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the resort to this pure tranquility at the villa. A major plus is it is cooler up here with a breeze very refreshing after the heat lower down. We will defiantly be promoting you, your staff and the villa and letting everyone we know that the villa comes highly recommended. We are 100% coming back to Villa Lavender.
